| Meat Cooked in 6ft Deep PIT For 14-18hr The pit is essentially a primitive oven lined with rocks and preheated by a hardwood fire that produces a thick bed of red-hot coals. The chunks of beef are seasoned,wrapped in foil and damp burlap, lowered onto the red-hot coals and covered with a metal cover, and covered with earth.
